Coming Up This Week

Monday - Friday, February 3-7:  

Hour of Code - during scheduled library time. You can still volunteer!

Tuesday, February 4:

 5th Grade Caregiver Meeting @8am in the library or on Zoom! 

Hardy School Chorus Concert in the cafeteria @6pm

Wednesday, February  5

 Safe Routes to School - Winter Walk

Friday, February 7: 

Caregiver coffee @8am, hosted by 4th grade in the Hardy Staff Lounge

Treat Train hosted by Kindergarten. Sign up to volunteer or donate!

Saturday, February 8: 

 STEAM FEST! 11am-2pm @Hardy Gym & Cafeteria

Volunteer This Week!
Hour of Code this week! February 3-7

Hour of Code is a program with the goal of exposing children to coding and computer science in an easily understood and accessible setting. Hour of Code will take place in the classroom during scheduled library time. 

Please sign up to volunteer for Hour of Code. Caregiver volunteers will assist the children in getting started with their coding activities and provide help if they get stuck. Learn more here.

☕️ Caregiver Coffee: Caregiver coffee is hosted by 4th grade this Friday, February 7! Each grade hosts a caregiver coffee on the first Friday of the month. Please volunteer to grab coffee and help clean up. 

🍬Treat Train: This Friday, February 7, Kindergarten is hostingEach month, a different grade delivers treats to staff and teachers. Sign up to volunteer, to donate food or deliver goodies.

STEAM Festival: Our enthusiastic committee of STEAM enthusiasts have planned an incredible interactive STEAM Festival this coming Saturday, February 8, 2025. Volunteer to help make the event run smoothly!

📚Hardy Book Fair:  March 10 - 14.  Volunteers are needed to set up, help students make wish lists, and sell books. 

📚Hardy Literacy Night: Help make our pet themed literacy night on March 12, complete with book fair, crafts and snacks even better by volunteering.

💯Hardy PTO Auction & 100th birthday: Join the Auction Committee to plan Hardy's 100th birthday celebration and auction. Email Becky Gibree to join party planning!

Planning for February Vacation
Kid Care February Vacation Day Program

Arlington Recreation is offering a day program for February School Vacation Week from 8:00am - 4:00pm to Arlington students in grades K-5. Learn more here.

February Vacation Lunch Requests

Arlington EATS will be offering free pre-packed bags of groceries to any family with kids in Arlington schools who could use extra food support over February break. Vacation lunch bags packed with nutritious, easy to prepare, kid-friendly foods will be available to pick up on Thursday, February 13 and Friday, February 14 at Arlington EATS, 117 Broadway.
