PTO News
Hardy Garden Team - Congratulations!

Congratulations to the Garden Team who have won a grant of $500 worth of garden center supplies and a Vitamix, cooking hot plate, food utility cart, garden wagon, gloves and tools!

All of these will help as Spring cleaning and planting gets going. Winter sown seeds have started to sprout, and will hopefully be used in the Hardy garden plantings in late April!

Hardy Green Team Update

Hardy will be participating in a Savers FUNDrive this spring as a fundraiser for the PTO!  We will be collecting gently used clothing, books, and household goods that Savers will buy from us.  It’s an incredible way to keep usable items out of landfills, help families clean out their closets, AND raise money for Hardy at the same time! 🙂

Collection date will be in early May.  If anyone is interested in helping, please reach out to Emily Lapolice. Stay tuned for more details and email greenteam@hardypto.com if you have questions or would like to help!

Hardy Spirit Wear - Open until March 31!

Wow! Have you seen the new and expanded range of Spirit Wear available in our March pop-up store?

Our Hardy Elementary Spirit Wear Store is open for business with more options than ever! Orders close at midnight, March 31! Don't miss out.

Lake St crossing guard Linda Carella is doing a Hardy water bottle fundraiser to benefit the Hardy PTO.  For every $20 water bottle ordered, $5 will be donated to the PTO.  Place your order here.

Thank you for your support Linda!

Treasurer's Update:Celebrating our Centennial & More!

We're looking forward to more fun and fundraising events coming up in March and April. Are you getting ready for Hardy Caregiver's Night Out and Centennial Auctionon March 29 at Donut Villa and the fundraising day at Sacco's BowlHaven and American Flatbread in Davis Square on April 22? Remember to book a lane if you are planning to bowl and eat that day - it's Spring Break! Perhaps you are ringing in Spring with a trip to the Daily Bloom on Tuesday, March 25 for our PTO fundraising day

Remember many companies will match tax-deductible contributions made by their employees and some will provide matching funds to support employee volunteer hours. Most of these programs match contributions dollar for dollar, and some will even double or triple the amount of your gift! Please consider corporate matching, learn more here. And thank you to all of you who support Hardy PTO and our community in this way!

As we start looking to the last months of the school year remember Hardy faculty have put their classroom wishes and Amazon wish lists in this Google Sheet

At March's PTO meeting we had a change of Treasurer. Julia Twarog stepped down and Brian Gibree was voted in as our new Treasurer. Congratulations Brian! And our many thanks to you Julia for all you brought to our community as Treasurer. We thank you for your time, focus and innovations such as our online reimbursement form.

Do you have any questions? Contact PTO Treasurer Brian Gibree at treasurer@hardypto.com.

SCHOOL NEWS & UPCOMING EVENTS
Arlington SEPAC

2025 SEPAC Survey Is Open! - Fill it out today!

The Special Education Parent Advisory Council’s (SEPAC) annual survey is a vital tool that helps:

  • Advise the Arlington School Committee regarding Special Education in the Arlington Public Schools (APS)

  • Provide APS with actionable feedback on how to support students with disabilities and additional support needs, who are often marginalized within education systems

If you are an APS parent or caregiver SEPAC wants to hear from you! Your survey responses will help the Arlington SEPAC advise on the best supports and services for all students.

Casual Coffee Chats with Hardy SPED Coordinator Louisa Popkin!

Have a special education question or would like to make a connection? Casual coffee chats with Louisa started in December last year. The next planned chat is Tuesday, April 15 at 8AM at the Hardy Cafeteria, details are in the PTO calendar.

Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC) is a parent group that acts as a resource for parents and advises the district regarding meeting the needs of students with disabilities. SEPAC meetings are the second Tuesday of the month, alternating morning (9am) and evenings (7:30pm). Check their brochure and schedule of meetings.
