Volunteer with the PTO

🐾 *NEW* Hardy Helpers:  The Hardy PTO Board would like to invite you to be included in requests for help that pop up throughout the year. Hardy Helpers have already been busy cleaning the playground - thank you Annie and Jen!

Examples include:  helping with the lost and found, taking down or putting things up on school bulletin boards, putting up PTO flyers, printing backpack flyers at school, last minute volunteers for events/treat train, donations of clothing/shoes for the nurse or social workers, etc.  The PTO typically uses Facebook for these opportunities, but realize we are missing a part of the population by doing this.

Fill out this form to be included on email blasts for these chances to be a Hardy Helper from time to time.

Special message from APS Director of Communications and Family Engagement:

I'm reaching out to your school communities on behalf of Jenna Obelsky, a social worker at Arlington High School.

Jenna’s husband, Tales, was diagnosed with end-stage renal disease in April 2024 and is currently awaiting a kidney transplant. Tales is a dedicated union carpenter and loving father to two young children, ages 3 and 1. He has been navigating dialysis three days a week while on medical leave and unemployment.

Jenna is working with the Arlington Education Association (AEA) and broader community to raise awareness and connect with individuals who may be interested in learning more about living kidney donation.

Interested individuals can explore the Mass General Living Donor site to learn more about the process. Registering initially only involves consenting to a medical record review. Anyone considering applying as a donor can reach out to the AEA at aeamtapresident@gmail.com to receive the necessary recipient information privately.
