Arlington Blooms With Daffodils 2025 - Volunteer Planting
Description
The Arlington Chamber of Commerce is excited to partner with the town for a special initiative to plant 10,000 daffodil bulbs along the historic Battle of Menotomy reenactment route in Arlington. This project is part of the town's 250th commemorations in April 2025, celebrating Arlington’s pivotal role in the Revolutionary War. The vibrant blooms, which return each year, will create a lasting, beautiful tribute that the community can enjoy for years to come.
This fall, the Chamber plans to purchase and distribute daffodil bulbs to individuals and groups for planting in pre-selected areas along the route as well as in the town’s business districts.
The Chamber will supply the bulbs but we need people to come help plant them!
Daffodils return year after year and we hope they will be enjoyed for many years to come! Join us in being a part of Arlington's future.
We will need lots of volunteers to make this a success! All are encouraged to apply including:
- individual residents
- businesses
- civic associations
- church groups
- sports leagues
- scout troops
- open-space advocates
- parks friends
- school groups
The Chamber will organize a bulb planting kick-off event on Sunday, October 20, from 12 - 4.
