37th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Birthday Observance - Town of Arlington

The public is welcome to come for an evening of inspiring discourse, rousing music, and refreshments to celebrate the life and significance of civil rights pioneer Martin Luther King Jr.

 

Kellie Carter Jackson will be the keynote speaker. Ms. Jackson is an Associate Professor of Africana Studies at Wellesley College and has written two highly regarded books, Force and Freedom and, very recently, We Refuse: A Forceful History of Black Resistance. She is in demand in the lecture circuit.

 

The musical guests will be the Peoples Baptist Church Male Chorus, directed by Marcia Scott.

 

Arlington Community, Inc. (ACMi) will livestream the event.
