METCO Advocacy day at the State House
The most impactful way to help the Arlington METCO program right now is to show up at Advocacy Day at the State House to demonstrate our support for the program and the need for continued funding at the state level. Without this funding, the program would require major cuts in staff and programming. We would really love a large turnout from the Arlington community to show our support. Click here for more info and to register.
From its earliest years, the state of Massachusetts has allocated funding to METCO’s partner districts for transportation, staffing, and programming, as well as administrative and program costs at METCO Inc. and Springfield.
We need you to come and help advocate for continuation and increase of METCO's funding!
Just being present says a lot! But by meeting your legislators in person, you get the chance to:
- Share personal stories and connections
- Speak to issues relevant to your district and life
- Emphasize impact of the program
