Hardy PTO Trunk or Treat

What is trunk or treating? Volunteer families will arrive at 6PM before the festivities begin, decorate the trunks of their cars, and have candy or non-candy prizes (stickers, pencils, erasers, etc.) to hand out to the children. The Hardy parking lot will be closed after 6PM so that children will have a safe place to walk from car to car collecting their goodies. Costumes are encouraged, but not mandatory! If you do not decorate your car, you can still enjoy the event by walking around and trick or treating from car to car.

How can you help? We need your trunk! Please consider volunteering to decorate your trunk. If you sign up, you must agree to stay for the duration of the event (6PM setup through 7:15PM) for safety reasons, as we cannot have cars driving around while children are walking between them. If you are not able to commit to this, we would love if you could donate candy or non-candy prizes for the event. Make sure to bring lanterns or flashlights so that the trick or treaters can find your car!

What if I don't know how to decorate my car? No problem! There are tons of pre-made options available to buy on Amazon, at stores like Party City, or very simple ideas online if you Google "simple trunk or treat ideas." Reach out the PTO for help with ideas if needed. Please don't let this be a reason not to sign up for this fun event!

We need at least 15-20 cars to sign up and LOTS of candy + toy donations, we run out quickly!!
